Feature and Follow 3-8-12

This week's question:

HAVE YOU EVER LOOKED AT A BOOK'S COVER AND THOUGHT, THIS IS GOING TO BE HORRIBLE? BUT, WAS INSTEAD PLEASANTLY SURPRISED? SHOW US THE COVER AND TELL US ABOUT THE BOOK.

Okay this definitely has to go to the entire Sookie Stackhouse series.  This covers totally turned me off of reading this series initially but I'm so glad I got over the covers because it is an awesome series.  I mean come on, Eric... need I say more?!

  2. I think all of the covers in that series are terrible. I read the first book and hated it sadly...I've heard a lot of good things about the series so I may pick up book 2 somewhere down the road and try again. Old follower :)Auntie Spinelli Reads

  4. You know what, I love these covers LOL, especially the hardcovers Becayse they have glitter!!;)

Some are ridiculous though for being adult books, these would be more like a YA style cover. :)
    Great choice!!

  6. I have only read the first book in this series so I'm not really sold yet that a great series lies under these less than great covers. I'm glad you enjoy this series though :)

  17. I actually like the covers. Then again, it may be because I love True Blood so now I want to read the books and since I know what the series is about, they kind of make sense to me.
