Dirty Little Secret question 3-1-12

The Dirty Little Secret question of the week is hosted by Under the Covers.  This week's question...

Which author introduced you to urban fantasy or paranormal romance?

My very first introduction was with The Twilight Saga by Stephanie Meyer.  I read the whole series in like 5 days because I just loved it. After that I read The Black Dagger Brotherhood  by J.R. Ward so I had great firsts for both young adult and adult series :)  I thank my friends for thoroughly corrupting my reading choices!  Which author started you off?

  1. I didn't mention Twilight because I watched the movie first, then started reading various pnr books...and only after that did I decide to pick up the Twilight book. :-)
Thanks for stopping by my DLS post earlier. I'm following your blog now.

  2. Yep I love Twilight when I first read it. I got to it because it was such a huge thing. And trying to catch up on BDB. I finished up to Butch's book.

  3. To be honest, my first love affair with UF began with Anne Rice when I was in high school. Then for years, I didn't read outside of college or work. The author that got me back into the genre was Charlaine Harris - I read the Sookie series about 2 months before on of my BFF's insisted that I read Twilight.

  4. Heck yes you started off with the best of the best. I swear since I'm always reading so many things I need to start limiting myself to books that people say are EPIC!

I love the brothers, just saying :)
