Love triangles - Love ‘em or Hate ‘em?

Thank you for having me here today Underworld Love Addiction!
The Twilight of the Gods series is based on Norse mythology with the premise being that Asgard was destroyed centuries ago. Some of the Æsir (Norse gods) fled to earth and have been living here ever since in small clans scattered around the planet. In Witch Bound, a witch named Raquel travels to her new clan to meet the man her parents picked for her to marry before she was born. While she thinks Christian is a nice enough guy, the person she’s really interested in getting to know better is the best man—Fen, a hound and wolf shifter. Fen falls hard for Raquel but the problem is, well…one—she’s about to marry his best friend, and two—when hounds have sex they’re bound for life to that one woman. The woman is free to move on and because Fen has no interest in shackling himself forever to a woman who could decide at any moment to walk away, he’s still a virgin and plans to remain celibate for life.
So, yep, I did something I never thought I’d do—I wrote a love triangle story….kind of. It is a triangle but it’s not exactly a love triangle. Raquel is meeting Christian for the first time when she steps through the portal to Ragnarok, IA. Until that moment, she had a picture and a penpal, not a fiancé. The thing is…she believes in destiny. The Norns, who are the clan’s seers, placed their stamp of approval on the engagement and for her to turn her back on all of that is a huge leap for her, especially when Christian is being as accommodating as hell trying to help her fit in with her new clan. But she loves Fen. She knows exactly who she wants even though there are huge obstacles to that path.
For me, the kind of love triangle that drives me batty is the kind where the man or woman can’t make up their mind between two suitors, where the heart is equally engaged by both.

How do you feel about love triangles—love or hate?
