Review: "Night Embrace" by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Night Embrace is the 3rd book in the "Night Hunter" series.  This book had a little bit of everything... Dark Hunters, vampires, shape shifters, ghosts, immortals, gods and goddesses.  I really liked Talon but found Sunshine to be pretty annoying.  I do like their back story, that gave a second take on their relationship.  Talon was a Celtic warrior fifteen hundred years ago, now he's a Dark Hunter.  He agreed to give up his soul and be brought back to life to get vengeance on the ones that killed his family.  While he has had major family issues he also has pissed off the God Camulus who curses him to lose everyone he loves.  As Sunshine and his relationship progresses he knows not to even think about loving her for if he does she will die.  Talon's story really is only about half of this book.  We get a look at the wolf clan that can shift into human form, a further look at the God and Goddesses, some history on Talon's wife from when he was human, were introduced to another Dark Hunter who seems to have even more issues than the ones we've meet so far named Zarek, plus we get a little more background on Acheron.  I was glad to finally get a little more information on Acheron's history and find out what's been going on with him and Artemis.  Overall it was a good book, but just didn't suck me in like the other ones did.  I would have to give this one 3 1/2 stars.
